At Tricorp Group, our goal during the construction management process is to sharply control and monitor the progress of a project in terms of quality, cost, and time.

For that reason, our role is fundamental. However, there are many considerations to achieve this goal.

Preconstruction

  • Set the budget and run cost assessments.
  • Run check estimates that include value added analysis and constructability reviews to make sure design is in line with the established budget goals for the project.
  • Set the schedule, using Microsoft Project during preconstruction.
  • Maintain a close and good relationship with the client and consultants.
  • Set the objectives, goals, and scope of work for the project.
  • Explore delivery methods, GC selection, and assist with negotiating contract agreements.

Construction Management

  • Build strong communication channels to either avoid or resolve project conflicts.
  • Establish digital tools such as project management software. Tricorp Group uses Procore.
  • Establish weekly meetings, progress reporting, and pictures.
  • Review the baseline and then progress schedules. Tricorp Group uses P6, and Microsoft Project.
  • Review all change orders requests, run COR check estimates, and prepare project cost reports.
  • Review and assist in resolving RFI’s.
  • Review and assist in product selection; help finalize all submittals and shop drawings.
  • Prepare and enforce close-out packages in accordance with project requirements.

Understanding the general contracting roles and responsibilities make our role during construction more effective, and beneficial for all parties involved. Our approach is to work on a select list of services that fit the needs of the particular owner and project.
